President Badra Gunba paid tribute to the memory of the First President of Abkhazia Vladislav Ardzinba
On the Day of the International Recognition of the Independence of the Republic of Abkhazia, a flower-laying ceremony was held at the Memorial of the First President Vladislav Ardzinba in the village of Nizhnyaya Eshera.

The laying ceremony was attended by President Badra Gunba, Prime Minister Vladimir Delba, Speaker of Parliament Lasha Ashuba, members of the Government, members of Parliament, Russian Ambassador to Abkhazia Vyacheslav Gladkov, Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan Andrei Nazarov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev, war veterans, volunteers, and members of the public.

On August 26, 2008, international recognition of independence took place, which the Abkhaz people won through incredible efforts in the 1992-1993 Patriotic War under the leadership of Vladislav Grigorievich Ardzinba.
